It's been a horrible week to be an RO fan, and no matter what side of the private server "argument" you stand on, losing a server home hurts, regardless of if it's "legal" or not.

It's so hard reading people attacking each other over where they made their RO home. You know what, it doesn't matter, the way it feels is the same.

The legality has been argued to death, and I think people know it's illegal and Gravity's right to do what they're doing. They don't have to agree with it.

Let people leave with happy memories of the RO community, it'd hurt anyone to lose their RO home. It's so hard and tiring to read all the aggression all the time.

Please respond with happiness creating -_-posts.

i wish this official server could be more pro active (faster too) and care about fixing the dang bugs. the bugs list is getting longer and only 1 or 2 bugs fix per week if we are lucky

But you act like Gravity hasn't done this multiple times in the past...it's like the boy who cried wolf at one point everyone just stopped caring hopefully with this last cancelation people will FINALLY realize it's a joke.

You should just keep this to reddit, my guy. You'll have plenty of people who are in the same boat as you. Here, not so much. Most of us are whales who don't mind spending money on a P2W game. And I personally look down on pservers and those that play on them.

I agree with the general sentiment; RO memories are RO memories, and no one can take that away.

With that said, the latest, while shocking, isn't really that unexpected. People that play here are likely going to be indifferent or happy that they're closed. Afterall, no matter how you look at it, it's the actual game that lines the pockets of the studio and generates the content both sides of the argument love (whether the server sees said-content is another story xD ). They should get paid for their work.

RO is not a charity. You sound incredibly entitled. Back to your circlejerk nest.

iRO doesn't care either way just enjoy this official server until they run it to the ground for good. Or until the server paypigs stop buying gacha boxes.

I guess there comes a point where you've been playing a private server so much that you start believing its legit.

I cant generalize but there are people that just cant hack it in official servers that they choose to play in private servers because gears are more attainable and competition, oftentimes, is non-existent when everybody has access to the same items.

A lot of them will never understand the blood, sweat and tears, not to mention the time or money (even both) you have to spend to be geared enough for game content.

Losing a server home is not easy, some spend half their lives devoted to their servers, but there's no point in crying about it when you know for a fact that it was wrong in the first place.

Gravity has every right to do what they're doing because its their content that's being used and their revenue that is affected.

The question whether private servers are illegal shouldn't even be an argument. ITS A FACT. The more people understand this, the less discussion there will be. Only problem is, because private server players are getting the short end of the stick, they kick up a fuss even though they know they were wrong in the first place.

I see private servers popping up every week even if Gravity is doing a witch hunt.

They hype the server up so players invest money into donation items then close the server after 2-weeks lol!

Any private server less than 2 years old aint worth reporting. Need players to invest time before wiping the server. You can already smell some salty and sour tears from popular private servers that just closed lol

Gravity -_-ed up splitting player population into different official servers AND letting pservers live. Some people from pservers are actually starting to come to IRO gravity need to now keep those pserver down so either people quit for good or come here.

They should've banned p.server long time ago or perhaps gave warnings every year to people in the world not to host such servers. Most people already devoted half of their life playing there before realizing it's actually illegal and needs to be closed down. A good move from Gravity but with bad timing

Baffles me that its STILL the case, doesnt surprise me that quite some are max level, shows exactly how many fks the people in charge give about this game, but please spare me the hypocrisy, makes me wanna vomit. Well, no one says iRO is a good server. Two different discussions going on here. If iRO, an official server, is trash, then dont play RO altogether or try to play other official server out there. However iRO being trash server doesnt justify players playing or ass kissing private servers.

No one cares about PvM achievements. You're right. People dont even care about WoE drama nowadays either lol

Just funny how the official server player celebrate pserver player getting pissed into the face by gravity while they dont realize that gravity pisses into their faces for 2 decades as well. The Ragnarok Online improvement thread is a good example of it, did anything of it get adressed by GMs? Talked about any of it to make it work? Let alone that something of it got actually implemented. they give no fks, all they care about is censoring like china in this forum and pushing new cashshop crap down our throat, nothing else.

This. The fact people are willing to play the game bad enough even if theres a possibility someone can steal their information means if there is no private server they will slurp up officials.
